Carbostar

At the end of 2007, Pirinplast AD launched its latest product, profiled polycarbonate sheets, under the brand name "CARBOSTAR."

The sheets are made of light-transmitting walls connected to each other by longitudinal rigid ribs. In addition, they can withstand a wide temperature range, are fire-resistant, and have very good thermal insulation properties.

Polycarbonate sheets are used where transparency is required, along with high impact resistance. The special UV-protective layer ensures a long service life and a 10-year warranty. Thanks to its characteristics, CARBOSTAR meets the needs of today, making it a universal building material. It is easy to install and maintain, and it achieves a modern aesthetic design, sustainability, and durability. It is used for canopies and vertical industrial facades, roof and side windows, covered pedestrian walkways, roofs and canopies for stadiums and sports facilities, bus stops, garages, verandas, winter gardens, greenhouses, pavilions, advertising boards, exhibition stands, signs and decorations, industrial roofs and glazing, movable walls and partitions in residential and industrial buildings, residential roofs and glazing, swimming pools and sports facilities.

CARBOSTAR sheets are available in widths of 2100 mm; thicknesses of 4 mm, 6 mm, 8 mm, 10 mm and weights of 900 g/m2, 1300 g/m2, 1500 g/m2, 1700 g/m2, respectively, with standard lengths of 3000 and 6000 mm.

Main characteristics of "VELPLASTIC"

belplastic-02
Lightweight material

1/6 of the weight of glass, which allows for a significant simplification of the supporting structure when used. This, in turn, leads to savings in terms of costs, materials, and labor.

belplastic-05
Practically unbreakable

200 times higher impact resistance compared to glass.
Highly resistant to climatic conditions, the material is not affected by atmospheric influences thanks to a special co-extruded UV-protective layer. Its mechanical and optical properties also remain unchanged over a wide temperature range. /from -40 to +120°C/.

belplastic-06
Thermal insulation

The ribbed configuration of the multi-wall sheets traps air in the sheets, ensuring excellent thermal insulation. Even the thinnest panes (4 mm) provide twice the thermal insulation of ordinary glazing. This results in energy savings of around 30%.

belplastic-03
Flexible and easy to install

It bends easily, making it an ideal material for covering surfaces with complex geometric shapes. Another important advantage of the material is that it can be easily processed with ordinary cutting tools. There is no risk of cracks forming when cutting with a saw or drilling.

belplastic icons-01
Difficult to ignite

Complies with most international standards. At very high temperatures, the material melts but does not produce flames.

Polycarbonate is also hygienically safe.

Due to its surface appearance, the material hardly retains any contaminants, and if any do accumulate, cleaning is easy. It is also environmentally friendly – it does not pollute and is 100% recyclable.
