Pirinplast AD operates as the only vertically integrated manufacturer of corrugated polypropylene sheets in Bulgaria, producing exclusively under the registered trademark VELPLASTIC®. From raw resin compounding through extrusion, conversion and quality verification, every stage of production takes place in-house, giving us full control over consistency, lead times and compliance with international packaging standards.

Beyond packaging, VELPLASTIC® has become an established material in the construction industry across Europe. Contractors and general builders rely on it daily for temporary surface protection on finished floors during fit-out works, as well as for lightweight yet robust formwork, hoarding panels and site partitioning, applications where moisture resistance and reusability make it vastly more economical than single-use cardboard or plywood alternatives.

Impervious to water, humidity and biological contaminants. Fully washable and pressure-cleanable with no risk of bacterial colonization, mould development or structural degradation, critical for food, pharmaceutical and cleanroom logistics.

◆ Non-toxic & Chemically Inert
Manufactured from certified food-contact grade polypropylene in accordance with EU Regulation 1935/2004. Resistant to a broad spectrum of acids, alkalis, solvents and cleaning agents.

◆ 100% Recyclable – Resin Code #5
Fully recyclable within established PP waste streams. At end of service life, every sheet re-enters our own recycling lines or standard municipal collection, closing the material loop entirely.

Available in thicknesses from 2 mm to 13 mm, a full spectrum of densities, and virtually any colour, including translucent, opaque, and custom Pantone-matched options.

SPECIAL CUSTOMIZATION OPTIONS

Every application has its own performance envelope. We engineer VELPLASTIC® to meet sector-specific demands through a suite of in-house additive and surface treatments:

◆ Flame Retardant Grades
Halogen-free FR additives compounded at extrusion stage, achieving UL 94 classifications for applications where fire safety regulations are non-negotiable, including construction, transport and aerospace interiors.

◆ ESD / Antistatic Protection
Permanent or topical static-dissipative treatments calibrated to protect sensitive electronics, semiconductors and pharmaceutical products from electrostatic discharge throughout the supply chain.

◆ UV Stabilization
HALS and UV-absorber packages integrated into the polymer matrix, extending functional outdoor service life well beyond standard PP, essential for agricultural covers, signage and long-term site protection.

◆ Lamination & Specialty Coating
Bonding of textile liners, foam cushioning layers or PE/PP film laminates to one or both faces, providing scratch protection, cushioning or vapour barriers for high-value and fragile cargo.

◆ Corona Treatment & Direct Printing
In-line corona discharge treatment raises surface energy to guarantee ink adhesion. Multi-colour flexographic or screen printing applied on-site for branding, handling instructions, barcodes and regulatory markings.

In closed-loop pooling systems, a single VELPLASTIC® component replaces hundreds of disposable cardboard equivalents, slashing per-trip packaging cost, warehouse waste volumes and procurement complexity simultaneously.

In line with our circular economy commitment, VELPLASTIC® sheets can be produced entirely from post-industrial recycled polypropylene processed in our own recycling facility, maintaining full mechanical performance and load-bearing capacity with zero virgin resin dependency.
